“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”
― Augustine of Hippo

If I had the means, I would spend most of my time exploring the world. For the moment I have a huge applejuice jar in which I put spare change and the occasional $20 (no really, I do).

One of my college professors once said that if you have a dream, look at photos of it often and you’re more likely to make it a reality.  If that is true then I should be traveling the world pretty soon. If you post a lot of travel photos on Instagram I’m probably drooling over them secretly and trying hard not to be jealous.

Between trips I like to plan pretend vacations. I go on Airbnb and pick out a place to stay. I compare airline prices. I research the best months to travel to that locale. Obsessive much? I told you, I have a terrible case of wanderlust.

Even though I’ve traveled to a few wonderful places this past year, my jet-setting heart longs for more! For one, I’ve never been to Europe. Or Iceland. I mean, what’s up with that?! I honestly want to see the whole world. But lately these places have been frequenting my airline price searches.

Salt Flats of Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

Salt Flats

Bolivia is seriously an underrepresented travel location. The sky reflected in the water is pure magic.

Big Sur, California

Is it just me or have photos of Big Sur been filling your Instafeed, too?! I’ve wanted to go there for a while now, and each majestic photo enforces my determination.

I’m not going to lie, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is kinda what inspired my obsession with Iceland. Ever since I saw that movie I’ve been scouring Groupon for their latest Iceland deal. Reykjavik looks enchanting, and the Northern Lights are pure magic (at least the internet makes me think so).

It might be cliche, but I have a very intense love for the UK. In addition to Harry Potter, it is home to most of my favorite authors. It is truly a magical place.

New Zealand

Between the Lord of the Rings and Narnia, there is no way New Zealand wasn’t making this list.

Rio De Janeiro

Besides the incredible views and the iconic statue, Brazilians have such beautiful accents.

This photo is in Dolomites, Italy, but Venice has been on my bucket list since my mom told me it was sinking.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. There’s also Norway, France, Germany, Canada, Greece…

What are your favorite places to travel? What is number one on your wanderlust list? Tell me in the comments!
